Thalidomide affects the immune system. It promotes immune responses to help slow tumor growth.
Thalidomide is used together with dexamethasone to treat multiple myeloma (bone marrow cancer). Thalidomide is also used to treat and prevent moderate to severe skin lesions caused by leprosy.
Thalidomide is available only from a certified pharmacy under a special program called REMS. You must be registered in the program and agree to use birth control as required. You will be limited to a 28-day supply of thalidomide each time your prescription is refilled.
Thalidomide can cause severe, life-threatening birth defects or death of a baby if the mother or the father is taking this medicine at the time of conception or during pregnancy. Even one dose of thalidomide can cause major birth defects of the baby's arms and legs, bones, ears, eyes, face, and heart. Never use thalidomide if you are pregnant. Tell your doctor right away if your period is late while taking thalidomide.
For Women: If you have not had a hysterectomy, you will be required to use two reliable forms of birth control beginning 4 weeks before you start taking thalidomide and ending 4 weeks after you stop taking it. Even women with fertility problems are required to use birth control while taking this medicine. You must also have a negative pregnancy test at 10 to 14 days before treatment and again at 24 hours before. While you are taking thalidomide, you will have a pregnancy test every 2 to 4 weeks.

Trastuzumab is a cancer medication that interferes with the growth and spread of cancer cells in the body.
Trastuzumab is used to treat certain types of breast cancer or stomach cancer. Other cancer medicines are sometimes used in combination with trastuzumab.
To make sure trastuzumab is safe for you, tell your doctor if you have ever had:
heart disease;
congestive heart failure;
a heart attack; or
any allergies or breathing problems.
Trastuzumab can cause heart failure, especially if you have heart disease or if you are also receiving certain other cancer medicines (such as daunorubicin, doxorubicin, epirubicin, or idarubicin)
Do not use trastuzumab if you are pregnant. It could harm the unborn baby. Tell your doctor if you become pregnant during treatment. Use effective birth control to prevent pregnancy while you are using this medicine and for at least 7 months after your treatment ends.
If you become pregnant while using this medicine or within 7 months after you stop, your name may need to be listed on a pregnancy registry. This is to track the outcome of the pregnancy and to evaluate any effects of trastuzumab on the baby.
It is not known whether trastuzumab passes into breast milk or if it could harm a nursing baby. You should not breast-feed while using this medicine

Cyclophosphamide is a cancer medication that interferes with the growth and spread of cancer cells in the body.
Cyclophosphamide is used to treat several types of cancer. Cyclophosphamide is also used to treat certain cases of nephrotic syndrome (kidney disease) in children.
You should not use cyclophosphamide if you are allergic to it, or if you have severe bone marrow suppression.
To make sure cyclophosphamide is safe for you, tell your doctor if you have:
an active or recent infection;
a weak immune system (caused by disease or by using certain medicines);
heart disease;
kidney disease;
liver disease;
if you are receiving other cancer treatments; or
if you have ever received radiation treatment.
Using cyclophosphamide may increase your risk of developing other types of cancer, such as bladder cancer. Talk with your doctor about your specific risk.
Do not use cyclophosphamide if you are pregnant. It could harm the unborn baby. Use effective birth control, and tell your doctor if you become pregnant during treatment.
Cyclophosphamide is sometimes given as a pill or liquid. Cyclophosphamide may also be given as an injection into a vein through an IV. You will receive the injection in a clinic or hospital setting.
Drink plenty of liquids while you are using cyclophosphamide, to prevent harmful effects on your bladder.
Measure liquid medicine with the dosing syringe provided, or with a special dose-measuring spoon or medicine cup. If you do not have a dose-measuring device, ask your pharmacist for one.
Cyclophosphamide can lower blood cells that help your body fight infections and help your blood to clot. This can make it easier for you to bleed from an injury or get sick from being around others who are ill. Your blood may need to be tested often.
If you need surgery, tell the surgeon ahead of time that you are using cyclophosphamide. You may need to stop using the medicine for a short time.
Ask your doctor or pharmacist how to safely handle this medicine. Cyclophosphamide can be harmful if it gets on your skin. If this occurs, wash thoroughly with soap and water.
Store cyclophosphamide tablets at room temperature away from moisture and heat.
Store the liquid medicine in the refrigerator, do not freeze. Throw away any unused liquid after 14 days.

nastrozole lowers estrogen levels in postmenopausal women, which may slow the growth of certain types of breast tumors that need estrogen to grow in the body.
Anastrozole is used to treat breast cancer in postmenopausal women. It is often given to women whose cancer has progressed even after taking tamoxifen(Nolvadex, Soltamox).
Anastrozole may not work as well if you take it together with estrogen medication (such as hormone replacement therapy, estrogen creams, or birth control pills, injections, implants, skin patches, and vaginal rings).
Anastrozole may increase your risk of a stroke or blood clot. Call your doctor at once if you have sudden numbness or weakness, (especially on one side of the body), sudden severe headache, slurred speech, or problems with vision or balance.
You should not use this medication if you are allergic to anastrozole, if you are breast-feeding a baby, or if you have not yet completed menopause. Anastrozole is not for use in men or children.
To make sure anastrozole is safe for you, tell your doctor if you have:
heart disease;
circulation problems;
a history of stroke or blood clot;
severe liver disease;
high cholesterol; or
osteoporosis or low bone mineral density.
Anastrozole can decrease bone mineral density, which may increase your risk of developing osteoporosis. Your bone mineral density may need to be tested before and during treatment with anastrozole.
